Now Accepting Submissions for

New Director’s Show Case

Guidelines for participation as a director:

1. You must be over 18 years old to be considered for a directorial position.

2. You must have worked with Acting Up within the last 5 years.

3. The show of your choosing must be either an original work of no more than 30 minutes in length OR a public domain show of no more than 30 minutes. Shows that require royalties to license will not be considered.

4. Your show must be submitted to ivebeenactingup@gmail.com Subject: Your Name Director’s show case. The body of the email should include your name, age, a good contact phone number to reach you, a brief synopsis of the show you would like to direct, and an attachment of the script you have selected for review.

5. ALL SHOWS MUST BE FAMILY SAFE. We will immediately reject any show that includes profuse foul language or sexual themes of any nature. If in doubt, pick a different show. Acceptance of your script is up to the discretion of the review board.

6. Submissions will be accepted beginning January 16th at 10pm and ending March 17th at 2PM. The review board will have a decision for all participants by April 8th.

7. If you are selected, you will receive an email letting you know the next steps sometime on or shortly after April 8th.

8. Show dates will be July 18th, 19th, and 20th. Rehearsals will begin Monday June 3rd at 7pm and run Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. More details will follow on rehearsals schedule once directors have been selected.
